Jean-Thierry Augustin is General Manager, TV distribution, rights acquisitions and development for Eurosport S.A.. He is also a board member of the Eurosport Group.  Since joining Eurosport in 2001, Jean-Thierry has been responsible for the launch of the Eurosport 2 TV channel in 2005, now available in 16 languages with over 45 million subscribers in Europe, and the launch of Eurosport HD in May 2008 and Eurosport 2 HD in August 2009.  Eurosport HD has now over 10.5 million subscribers and is available in 20 languages in 39 countries.

Jean-Thierry has also been responsible for extending Eurosport’s online business through the launch of Eurosport.ru, now a leading sport website in Russia, Eurosport.se in Sweden, Eurosport.pl in Poland, and tr.eurosport.com in Turkey which is to launch November on 2nd.  He also developed Eurosport’s online video subscriber service, Eurosport Player, launched in 2007.
